Responsibilities:

  • Provides essential leadership on multiple medium and occasionally large internal IT or business projects, including financial oversight, scope definition, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Creates and implements project work plans, adjusting them as necessary to accommodate evolving needs while adhering to established project management methodologies.
  • Accountable for the overall direction, coordination, execution, control, and completion of business projects, ensuring alignment with company strategy and objectives.
  • Directs, manages, plans, and oversees the operational and administrative functions of IT and business project teams.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develops a communication strategy to ensure ongoing updates to project team members, stakeholders, and sponsors regarding project status. (15% of time)
  • Identifies necessary resources to accomplish tasks and collaborates with resource managers to assemble the appropriate teams and skills.
  • Manages issues, risks, and changes using established processes and tools from the Project Management Office.
  • Determines project timelines, identifies critical paths, and assesses potential risks.
  • Effectively applies and enforces scheduling standards with project teams.
  • Leads the project team in maintaining work plans and drafting required deliverables.
  • Forecasts, manages, and reports on project financials, including planned versus actual schedules and resource utilization.
  • Understands basic revenue models and cost-to-completion projections, making informed decisions accordingly. (15% of time)
  • Facilitates project reviews and provides insights for audits, status reports, and executive review meetings. (15% of time)
  • Responsible for delivering medium and occasionally large projects on time, within budget, and meeting functional and quality specifications.
  • Manages both forecasted and actual project expenditures.
