Job Summary

This Settlement Counsel role at Singleton Schreiber, LLP involves overseeing the settlement process after agreements have been reached across various practice areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and reviewing settlement agreements, addressing minor's compromise issues, lien issues, and ensuring the seamless execution of settlement terms.

Responsibilities
  • Draft and review settlement agreements, releases, and related legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Implement settlement terms, including disbursing funds, meeting deadlines, and fulfilling contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate with guardians or custodians to facilitate settlements involving minors.
  • Negotiate with lienholders to resolve lien issues and ensure proper documentation and payment.
  • Maintain open communication with clients regarding settlement procedures and progress.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in California.
  • 10-15 years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Understanding of post-settlement procedures.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $170,000-$220,000, based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
