Position Overview: Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative at Patterson Company LLC, your primary responsibility will be to assist clients primarily in the cattle, equine, and swine production sectors, along with our sales representatives, ensuring efficient order processing with a high level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement:

  • Foster strong relationships across various departments and with customers and manufacturing partners.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and sales assistance; promptly address customer inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Relay important information from customers to the appropriate sales representatives or management.
  • Assess customer needs and expectations to recommend tailored products and solutions.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
  • Conduct outbound calls to existing clients to identify opportunities for additional products and services.

Administrative Duties:

  • Ensure accurate processing of customer transactions in the order entry system, including orders, quotes, and returns.
  • Maintain precise records of customer interactions and territory documentation.
  • Generate necessary reports.
  • Monitor shipment schedules to guarantee timely deliveries.
  • Adhere to regulatory guidelines as per company, state, and federal policies.
  • Understand and comply with Accounts Receivables policies and practices.
  • Verify pricing and terms according to established procedures and customer profitability profiles.
  • Manage multiple computer systems and communication platforms simultaneously.
  • Stay informed about company products, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in customer service and strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in general computer applications, including MS Office.

Preferred:

  • Associate's Degree in a veterinary-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Background in agriculture with knowledge of production animal husbandry.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
