Position Overview

TCS Student Transportation is seeking dedicated and empathetic individuals for the role of School Bus Lead Driver. This position is essential in providing safe and reliable transportation services to students within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee morning and afternoon bus routes, ensuring that all assigned vehicles are staffed and operational.

• Step in as a driver when necessary, covering routes and field trips in the absence of regular drivers.

• Familiarize yourself with the routes assigned to other drivers to ensure seamless operations.

• Conduct pre and post-trip inspections of buses, ensuring cleanliness and proper parking procedures are followed.

• Adapt to daily changes in assignments, including routes and field trips, with flexibility and professionalism.

• Assist in the Transportation Office as required, reporting to various locations as needed.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive hourly wage of $23.00.

• A retention bonus of $1,500.00 is available after completing one year of service.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid CDL with both Passenger and School Bus endorsements.

• A clean driving record is essential.

• Candidates must be able to pass a background check, DOT physical, and drug screening.

• Strong attendance and communication skills are required, with an emphasis on customer service.
