Job Summary

Gilead Sciences, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement operations team, you will be responsible for managing API procurement operations, including issuance of Purchase Orders, receipt of materials into inventory, and processing invoices against POs.

You will also assist with supplier and material set-ups, issue invoices for raw material sales to Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), and support and coordinate with Finance regarding accruals, cash flow estimates, inter-company cross charges, inventory reserves, and quarterly inventory reconciliations.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of relevant experience in a related field and a BS or BA degree. Experience in pharmaceutical operations/cGMP environment is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage API procurement operations, including issuance of Purchase Orders, receipt of materials into inventory, and processing invoices against POs.
  • Assist with supplier and material set-ups.
  • Issue invoices for raw material sales to CMOs.
  • Support and coordinate with Finance regarding accruals, cash flow estimates, inter-company cross charges, inventory reserves, and quarterly inventory reconciliations.
  • Track prepayments to CMOs and investigate and explain variances to Budget.
  • Work with accounting to resolve Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable issues for GEM department.
  • Support internal audits as SOX control approver for Source to Settle activities.
  • Collaborate closely with Global Supply Chain functions to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Drive improvement of departmental financial and business reporting.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in a related field and a BS or BA degree.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical operations/cGMP environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Good planning and organizational skills coupled with strong time management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP system software, with emphasis on Operations/Supply Chain functionality.
