Position Overview

Are you an experienced Civil Project Engineer looking for a meaningful role with a team of skilled professionals? Key Responsibilities

As a Civil Project Engineer, you will oversee the design and preparation of engineering construction documentation, specifications, and details for multiple projects. Your technical expertise will be essential in both internal and external meetings, where you will provide insights based on your research and experience. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting civil engineers in the daily planning, coordination, and execution of projects under the guidance of a project manager.
  • Conducting research on design criteria based on project scope and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Creating site design construction documents, including layouts, grading, stormwater management, roadway, and utility layouts using Civil 3D.
  • Performing site design calculations and analyses in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Conducting field site visits to gather necessary data.
  • Providing comprehensive documentation of calculations.
  • Completing site investigation and due diligence reports.
  • Comparing design alternatives and documenting findings to produce detailed civil engineering studies and reports.
  • Reviewing technical and civil engineering drawings and making necessary revisions.
  • Proposing continuous improvement solutions for site designs.
  • Participating in client meetings.
  • Serving as a resource for internal department managers to facilitate cost estimates and design concepts.
  • Supervising junior team members by providing project direction.
  • Encouraging team members by fostering a positive work environment through mentoring, coaching, and training for professional development.
  • Performing other project-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTurn, HydroCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong ability to motivate and mentor a team.
