Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to obtain and interpret data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, directing and supervising occupational therapy assistants and technicians as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Iowa required.
  • At least one year of experience in an outpatient care setting preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to maintain current certifications in Basic Life Support and Mandatory Reporting for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse.
