Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our occupational therapists to provide high-quality patient care and support.

Responsibilities:

Assist occupational therapists in preparing patients for treatment and providing occupational therapy procedures as needed.
Maintain equipment in a clean and aesthetic manner, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients.
Provide written and verbal communication between the Rehab department and our customers, ensuring seamless coordination of care.
Complete required documentation on patients and maintain department records, adhering to departmental and health center policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association Occupational Therapy Assistant Education Program required.
Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of Iowa required.
Must maintain a good interest in helping others, be flexible, creative, and establish good relationships with patients and staff.
Must provide proof of Mandatory Reporting for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse training prior to employment or within 6 months of hire and maintain current status per State of Iowa guidelines.
