Position Overview:
Premier Global Links is seeking a dedicated and experienced Post Acute Director of Nursing to lead the nursing team at our postacute care and skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of postacute care, and a commitment to providing the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the nursing staff within the postacute care and skilled nursing facility, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care.
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols that align with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Lead and mentor the nursing team, providing guidance and support to ensure professional development and high morale.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create and execute comprehensive care plans for residents.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.
- Monitor patient care activities, including assessments, treatments, and medication administration, to ensure high standards of care.
- Conduct regular evaluations of nursing staff performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary training or corrective actions.
- Manage nursing budgets, including staffing, supplies, and equipment, to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Serve as a key liaison between residents, families, and the healthcare team, addressing concerns and ensuring a high level of satisfaction with care services.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of nursing care practices within the facility.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Certifications: AHABasic Life Support certification.
- Licensure: Current licensure by the State of Tennessee as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in a leadership role within a postacute care or skilled nursing facility.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulatory requirements, and standards of care in postacute settings.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and inspire a team of nurses.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care.
