Job Summary

The Emergency Department Technician II is a vital member of the Patient-Focused Care Team at Covenant Health (Tennessee). This role requires a high level of patient care and related duties, performed with supervision, following established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care and support services with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and services.
  • Participate in training and education programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment.
Requirements
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained before completion of orientation.
  • High School Diploma/GED required; two years associate degree preferred.
  • Medical Assistant certification from the American Assoc. of Medical Assistants, the National Center for Competency Testing, or the National Health Career Association, or EMT-Advanced/Paramedic License with the State of Maine required.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required at the time of hire.
