Position Summary:

We seek an experienced Quantum Software Developer to support the development of our control systems for quantum-enabled applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather Requirements: Communicate effectively with researchers, end-users, and team members to gather project requirements.
  • Manage Project Priorities: Manage project timelines, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Software Development: Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software solutions.
  • Documentation and Collaboration: Communicate software designs and tools through documentation and design reviews, and collaborate with software engineers and product owners to design and develop software solutions.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties or projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field, and minimum 2 years of prior work experience, including high-level skills and experience with Python.
  • Skilled in typical software engineering disciplines: testing, error-handling, readability, documentation, general code health, etc.
  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
  • Experience working with data structures and algorithms.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively share information with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Good collaboration skills, able to work in a team environment where engagement and participation are an expected part of successful job performance.

Compensation and Working Conditions:

The estimated salary for this position is $112,000 to $143,500 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This role may require up to 10% travel. The work environment will be in an office and laboratory setting, with normal working conditions and physical requirements that include sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 40 pounds without assistance.
