The Cook plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to both internal and external guests by adhering to the Art of Brilliance standards. This position is tasked with the precise preparation of various food items listed on the menus, utilizing techniques such as grilling, frying, broiling, baking, boiling, braising, poaching, and pantry preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service, positively influencing interactions with guests and team members, while demonstrating resilience in challenging situations.
  • Prepare a variety of dishes, ensuring all presentations are visually appealing and meet the specifications set by both the customer and the culinary team.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of various sauces and their appropriate application on menu items.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards in the workspace; report any safety issues, hazardous conditions, or accidents.
  • Ensure proper storage of food items, including leftovers from previous events.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition.
  • Effectively close down workstations at the end of shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Fundamental knowledge of food preparation and experience in line cooking.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications in accordance with federal, state, and gaming regulations.

This role typically requires a minimum of one year of experience as a cook trainee or line cook, or completion of a culinary arts degree or recognized apprenticeship.
