This role is dependent on the successful award of a contract.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized knowledge to INSCOM and the Intelligence Community on the electrical engineering components involved in the installation, modification, operation, and upkeep of facilities, mission systems, and support systems, as well as power generation, distribution, and grounding systems.
  • Exhibit advanced technical skills and innovative thinking in both 2D and 3D electrical computer-aided design and modeling.
  • Create intricate plans based on client input and personal expertise, adhering to government standards.
  • Design facilities, incorporating building power systems, lighting design, and load calculations to fulfill essential electrical requirements.
  • Generate construction drawings, specifications, and cost assessments.
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to fellow engineering team members.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in electrical facility design, construction, maintenance, and operation.
  • Conduct assessments of building and facility conditions related to electrical systems.
  • Execute electrical engineering power system calculations, including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and coordination studies.
  • Serve as a technical authority on electromagnetic interference mitigation.
  • Evaluate facility and equipment design packages to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Oversee the proper installation and functioning of complex UPS and generator systems, ensuring reliable and redundant power for critical equipment.
  • Conduct quality assurance for electrical construction to guarantee workmanship quality and adherence to standards.
  • Provide SME insights for the development of technical publications, including INSCOM regulations and pamphlets.
  • Be prepared for immediate deployment to various global locations in potentially challenging work environments to deliver technical support to U.S. forces.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution, with 8-10 years of diverse engineering experience in medium or low voltage power electrical equipment, integration, and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Experience in the installation and maintenance of low voltage power systems, along with a background in electrical engineering within an architecture or engineering consulting firm.
  • Proficiency in application engineering, focusing on the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of power generation, distribution, and grounding systems.
  • Experience with uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and a solid understanding of power and grounding principles and techniques.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to read, write, and comprehend technical documentation, schematics, and diagrams. Professional registration is a plus but not required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, along with a Final Top-Secret Clearance based on a TIER 5 Background Investigation and favorable eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) in accordance with ICD 704. Some roles may necessitate a Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph.
