Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Restaurant Bartender to join our team at Master Concessionair. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving beverages and food, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining company standards, and solid product knowledge.
  • Mix and serve beverages and food according to Brand specifications, including cocktails, beer, and wine.
  • Offer food menus to guests, provide coffee services, and prepared drinks.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of wine and local and general beer inventory, making suggestions to guests upon request.
  • Answer all guest questions or find appropriate answers for guests.
  • Communicate daily food and drink specials to guests, take accurate food and beverage orders, and demonstrate knowledge of all menu offerings, food, and drink pairings.
  • Ability to accurately enter all orders into the point-of-sale system, update the bar tab with all orders, and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Offer up-selling opportunities to all guests, verify ages of guests ordering alcoholic beverages, and responsibly serve alcohol.
  • Monitor and report intoxicated guests to MOD, aid in moving and installing kegs, CO2 tanks, and soda mixes, and wash glassware, containers, and other bar utensils as required.
  • Demonstrate appropriate wine service techniques when presenting tableside wine service, anticipate guests' needs, and assist other servers and bartenders as needed.
  • Determine when guests have completed their meals, remove dirty dishes, flatware, and napkins, prepare and present itemized bills to guests, and receive and process payment by cash, credit card, or airline voucher.
  • Adhere to MCA cash handling policies and procedures, maintain a spotless working environment, and clean the entire front and back of the bar, including bottles, walk-ins, low boys, and reach-ins.
  • Order and maintain the stock of liquor, wine, and beer by completing a pull sheet at the end of the shift, and fully stock the bar at the beginning of each shift, including ice, fruit, beverages, juices, and mixers.
  • Participate in daily side-work tasks, including but not limited to stocking glasses, linens, flatware, and condiments, clean and preset tables for the next customers, and maintain knowledge of airport, terminal, and restaurants.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, well-groomed appearance and adhere to all uniform and appearance guidelines, sweep and mop as needed, and perform other duties and side-work as assigned.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated pleasant attitude and energy to ensure great customer service.
  • Professional demeanor, appearance, and communication skills in accordance with restaurant guidelines.
  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of the wine inventory and menu offerings.
  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of the local and general beer offerings.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the restaurant floor plan.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn food and beverage knowledge and participate in training as required.
  • Ability to successfully pass all service, menu, and alcoholic drink testing for the assigned concepts at standards assigned by management within 2 weeks of completion of training.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to accurately count money and make change.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers and crewmembers regarding food and beverage orders and customer questions and concerns.
  • Ability to read menu offerings, product labels, register screen, pricing, receipts, safety procedures, and operating directions.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean restaurant for customers.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long durations.
  • Ability to do moderate to heavy lifting (25 lbs. or less).
  • Knowledge and adherence to MCA policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge and adherence to all airport rules and regulations.
