Catholic Health Service is seeking a highly skilled Internal Medicine Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. As a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive medical care to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations of patients
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work, imaging, and electrocardiograms
- Make accurate diagnoses and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician
- Prescribe medications and therapies, including adjustments to existing medications
- Provide preventive care, health promotion, and disease management education to patients
- Monitor and manage chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- PA - Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program, minimum Bachelors degree required
- NP - Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, current RN license and current AANP or ANCC certification
- Experience in Internal Medicine
- Current BLS/ACLS/AED training
- DEA registration for those with discharge responsibilities
