Mathematics Professor

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in mathematics to students in an equitable and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach mathematics courses via various delivery modes, including on-ground, online, hybrid, and web-enhanced formats, as assigned.
• Collaborate with course leads and program coordinators/directors to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.
• Utilize the college's learning management system to provide course materials to students.
• Submit updated department syllabi prior to the first day of class.
• Regularly check college email and departmental mailbox.
• Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends.
• Complete all required reports, including student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines.
• Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities.
• Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar.
• Work with students as an academic advisor, as assigned.
• Comply with all college and Tennessee Board of Regents policies and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in mathematics or a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in mathematics.
• Collegiate-level teaching experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity and accessibility.
• Ability to teach upper-level mathematics courses.
• Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation:

$40,246 - $50,308, depending on experience.
