Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager to spearhead project leadership and serve as the voice of the customer in new product development initiatives. This role is pivotal in managing project schedules, budgets, and technical aspects within our healthcare and medical business unit.

Qualifications:

Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (10 years)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in polymer processing or medical manufacturing in a technical or leadership capacity.

Preferred:
- 5 years of experience in polymer processing or medical manufacturing with a focus on essential job functions.
- Post-secondary education, apprenticeship, or certification in polymer-related or project management fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure the successful completion of assigned projects.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects.
  • Provide technical support for estimating and sales in quoting new programs.
  • Engage in technical discussions and design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews with customers.
  • Participate in tooling design review processes.
  • Collaborate with internal supply chain resources to identify suitable external vendors for raw materials and services.
  • Develop and manage project timelines effectively.
  • Facilitate regular project updates and conference calls with customers.
  • Coordinate internal cross-functional resources to ensure the completion of assigned deliverables.
  • Manage open sales order activities and timelines for new product development deliverables.
  • Analyze new product development outputs for profitability trends.
  • Contribute to the development and review of manufacturing and quality documentation.
  • Assist in data analysis and collaboration with Quality Engineering.
  • Provide engineering consultation on existing production programs as necessary.
  • Create, monitor, and report critical department key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement activities to support critical KPI objectives.
  • Manage projects across manufacturing sites as required.

Travel Requirements: 40% local daytime travel.
