Job Overview

The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative, secretarial, and advanced clerical support to departmental staff and middle management. Qualifications for the Role

Education and Experience

For roles requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational credentials must be from an institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Requirements: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills are required, including a solid grasp of grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Additionally, candidates must meet one of the following:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent with at least one and a half (1 1⁄2) years of experience in a secretarial or clerical support role, particularly in program coordination and development.
  • An Associate degree in secretarial science or a related field, along with six months of experience in a secretarial or clerical support capacity focusing on program coordination and development.

Preferred Qualifications: An Associate degree in secretarial science or a related field is advantageous. A minimum of one and a half (1 1⁄2) years of experience as an Administrative Secretary relevant to the specific area of employment is preferred. Experience in a healthcare setting is also beneficial. Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook calendars, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe software is a plus.

Certifications and Licenses

The following certifications, licenses, or registrations are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions will be reviewed to determine their relevance to the role.
