Key Responsibilities
Your primary role will involve advocating for Mayo Clinic's core principles while enhancing community-based healthcare and integrated delivery systems through the promotion of Mayo Medical Laboratories (MCL) tests. You will collaborate with assigned clients in a cooperative selling approach.
In this position, you will:
- Drive new business revenue and collaboratively develop tailored account and promotional strategies with clients.
- Work alongside the CSR Director, Regional Director of Sales, and Regional Managers to forecast annual sales growth, assess market trends, and analyze economic conditions.
- Co-create and execute business plans for your territory/accounts in partnership with the CSR Director and Regional Managers.
- Effectively communicate the advantages of Mayo testing to clients, differentiating our offerings from competitors.
- Coordinate resources, prepare presentations, and engage in the bidding process for new and upsell opportunities.
- Identify and pursue upsell opportunities for specific tests or test groups in collaboration with Product Managers and the CSR Director.
- Negotiate pricing and manage contract development and execution with regional managers.
Travel Requirements
This role requires significant travel, with expectations of up to 80% travel.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of sales experience, preferably in the relevant market segment (e.g., Neurology), along with experience in client-facing roles or contract negotiations within healthcare settings, are essential.
This position necessitates working from a home office within the designated territory.
Preferred Qualifications
A Master’s degree in business, medical technology, or a related field is preferred. Strong interpersonal, management, and communication skills are vital. Candidates should demonstrate accountability, adaptability, creativity, and a customer-focused mindset.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and exercise sound judgment in prioritizing tasks is required. Candidates should also possess decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with adherence to Mayo Clinic policies.
Licensure and Certification
A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are mandatory, along with the ability to travel extensively using various modes of transportation.
FACHE certification is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and tenure, with a salary range and commission structure included.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring flexibility in hours, including potential weekend travel for business purposes.
