Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient nutritional needs and develop personalized dietary plans
  • Provide expert nutrition counseling and education to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine patient nutritional needs and diet restrictions
  • Review and approve menus and nutritional supplements to ensure compliance with facility policies and regulations
  • Participate in treatment teams and provide nutrition-related support to patients
  • Develop and implement nutrition education programs for patients and staff
  • Monitor food service operations to ensure compliance with nutritional, safety, and quality standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited university
  • Current registration as a Registered Dietitian or eligibility for endorsement by the state in which the facility provides services
  • ServSafe certification or similar food safety certification
  • Experience working with eating disorders and substance abuse preferred
