Job Title: Control System Designer

VEGA Americas is seeking a skilled Control System Designer to join our team. As a Control System Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing control systems using VEGA and third-party electrical components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support assigned control system sales projects from definition to installation and customer acceptance.
  • Develop functional specification and sequence of operations documents to support the control system design and third-party software development.
  • Review customer project specifications to ensure VEGA systems are compliant.
  • Design and develop control systems using VEGA and third-party electrical components.
  • Provide technical support to field service technicians in the area of control systems and control system components.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with strategic third-party vendors.
  • Define and manage internal control system projects for trade show demos or training purposes.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment.
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree AND two to four years' experience designing control systems in industrial markets.
  • Ability to read and understand P&ID's in order to define application requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical principals, concepts and techniques.
  • Good understanding of basic PLC programming concepts.
  • Familiarity with basic industrial communication protocols.
