Job SummaryAs an Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe, you will play a vital role in assisting our ophthalmologists in delivering exceptional patient care. Your expertise in gathering data and maintaining accurate records will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our eye care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient screenings and assessments to gather vital information
  • Take detailed medical histories and document relevant information
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and lensometry
  • Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures
  • Administer medications and eye drops as directed by the physician
  • Provide education to patients on proper eye care and postoperative instructions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a physician scribe, ophthalmic technician, or in a related field is required
  • Knowledge of ophthalmic equipment and procedures
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) is a plus
