Job Summary

Luminis Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in a multi-specialty suite setting. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Tasks: Accurately register and schedule patients, manage medical records, and maintain inventory of medical and office supplies.
  • Clinical Tasks: Assist with patient exams, administer injections, perform phlebotomy, and render therapeutic treatments as instructed by the physician.
  • Communication: Answer and screen office calls, greet patients in a professional and timely manner, and project proper telephone etiquette.
  • Data Entry: Accurately and efficiently input patient data into the electronic health record system.
  • Patient Care: Obtain patient vital signs, interview, triage, and prepare patients for smooth flow, and assist providers in medical examinations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: One year of clerical/billing experience in a medical office setting.
  • Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant, and current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification.
Working Conditions

This position requires heavy physical demands, including exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
