Part-Time Registered Nurse Opportunity
Located in Maryland for various upcoming events.
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide essential patient care and medical services in alignment with state EMS protocols and medical direction during events in Maryland. This role involves delivering direct patient care following company guidelines and online medical oversight. The nurse will also assist in covering open shifts as required in the designated area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely completion and submission of electronic patient care records, daily base checks, and control of narcotics inventory.
- Deliver pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until the patient is transferred to the receiving medical facility, ensuring comprehensive patient care documentation.
- Maintain professional competency and skills through continuous participation in laboratory and clinical experiences.
- Keep accurate documentation of required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
- Be proficient in the use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies utilized in emergency programs.
- Foster positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
- Take responsibility for filling open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as directed by the Regional Director.
- Engage regularly in departmental activities, projects, and EMS committees.
- Attend and contribute to meetings as per established guidelines.
- Undertake and manage assigned projects effectively.
- Serve as a mentor and/or assist in the orientation of new staff members.
- Participate in ongoing education programs.
- Instruct classes as directed by the CES Manager.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure in Maryland.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications required; trauma certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
- Advanced certifications (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) preferred, required within twelve months from the date of hire.
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
- Minimum of three years' experience in an emergency or critical care environment required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret health and flight-related journals, hospital reports, and job-specific legal documentation.
- Capability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Proficiency in computing rates, ratios, and percentages, and applying basic algebra and geometry concepts to patient care.
