Job Overview

DaVita Inc. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dialysis Technician - Patient Care to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and contributing to the success of our outpatient dialysis center. With paid, extensive training, you will gain the skills needed to care for patients and build a network of other healthcare professionals across the geography where you live. As a member of our team, you will work closely with a holistic team of care professionals, including nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other experienced PCTs, to provide comprehensive care for our patients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to jump-start your career in the healthcare industry. You will spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse and have exposure to blood and needles. Your responsibilities will include:

* Direct patient care
* Technician duties

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

* Providing direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
* Measuring and recording vital signs, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup
* Educating patients on kidney-related topics and building long-term relationships with them
* Working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other experienced PCTs, to provide comprehensive care for our patients

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be comfortable working around blood and needles. Prior healthcare experience is beneficial but not required. You must also be willing to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
