About the Role

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd is seeking a highly skilled RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to join our team. As a leading crop insurance provider in the U.S., we offer a wide range of private product coverages and federal crop insurance plans through the United States Department of Agriculture's Risk Management Agency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field inspections and related responsibilities, including reading maps and aerial photos, measuring fields, and discussing findings of crop loss with farmers.
  • Ability to convey complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry people on claim situations.
  • Perform fact finding regarding crop damage, record information, and transmit loss information to accurately determine potential indemnities.
  • Gather relevant facts, utilizing applicable law and establishing basic principles of negligence.
  • Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned.
  • Ensure legal compliance by maintaining a strong working knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area.
  • Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire date.
  • Reliable personal transportation and travel within territory.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Experience as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
