Job Summary:

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform phlebotomies on patients of all age groups
  • Process laboratory specimens and collect specialized tests
  • Order laboratory tests in the EMR and perform breath alcohol testing

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Completion of a phlebotomy, certified nursing assistant, or medical assistant training course preferred
  • Certification with ASCP or the National Healthcareer Association, Inc. as a certified phlebotomy technician or other discipline listed above
  • Customer service experience and ability to work well under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment
