Job Summary:

The Medical Laboratory Technician will be responsible for performing complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues. This includes standardized microscopic, chemical, and/or bacteriological testing. The results of these tests will be used in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues
• Conduct standardized microscopic, chemical, and/or bacteriological testing
• Analyze test results to determine the presence of disease or other conditions
• Maintain accurate records of test results and patient information

Requirements:

• Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field
• Eligible to take the ASCP Board of Review exam for Medical Laboratory Technician
• Certification in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification
