Job Summary

This position performs laboratory work in the area of phlebotomy and CLIA-waived testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities
  1. Collect blood samples from patients using a variety of techniques, including venipuncture and capillary stick.
  2. Perform CLIA-waived tests, including point-of-care testing, and ensure accurate and timely results.
  3. Maintain accurate records of patient samples and test results.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  5. Participate in continuous quality improvement activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Graduation from a Medical Assistant Program, certificate from an accredited school in phlebotomy, or Equivalent.
  • One-year recent experience in direct customer service.
  • Two years' experience as a phlebotomist.
  • Cultural competence in working with diverse populations required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of common office equipment (copier, fax, printer, etc.).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
