Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team at The Superior Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality engineering design and construction deliverables from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement electrical design and construction plans and specifications
  • Review and provide comments on construction documents and design improvements
  • Lead design-build pursuits and projects, creating scope of work, schedule, and budget
  • Develop and implement electrical performance methods and procedures
  • Assist with equipment testing and energization, and complete root cause analysis
  • Interface with internal teams, including field and project operations, VDC, Estimating, and Prefabrication
  • Interface with external stakeholders, including owners, construction managers, and design professionals
  • Provide construction support by walking project sites, providing field observations, and answering technical questions
  • Identify and develop business case design enhancement studies
  • Perform and review engineering calculations, including heat calculations, pull calculations, and power system studies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in consulting engineering or electrical engineering
  • Experience in design, construction, and installation of building electrical systems
  • Experience with NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and other applicable codes and standards
  • Bonus points for experience in preparing power system studies, project experience in mission-critical, healthcare, industrial, or commercial sectors, and Professional Engineer certification in the State of Ohio
