Position Overview
CMIT is in search of a dedicated and skilled medicinal chemist to contribute to our innovative projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct scientific investigations aimed at discovering new drug candidates.
  • Utilize chemical principles and methodologies to address potential inventions and challenges.
  • Independently design, execute, and propose experiments aligned with project objectives.
  • Exhibit a profound understanding of project aims and methodologies.
  • Devise novel experiments to enhance scientific comprehension of drug substances or techniques for their identification.
  • May provide guidance or oversee Research Associates, Radiochemistry team members, or project team members during laboratory experiments.

Data Presentation and Reporting:
  • Present research findings, interpret data, and draw conclusions independently.
  • Compose technical reports and presentations within the area of expertise.
  • Address complex issues requiring thorough analysis of various factors.
  • Stay updated with relevant scientific literature and apply this knowledge to research projects.

Communication and Collaboration:
  • Employ strong verbal and written communication skills to convey objectives and results.
  • Identify and validate targets while advancing the development of innovative techniques for drug discovery.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of principles and theories to support the company's research direction.
  • Utilize scientific creativity and collaboration to propose experimental designs and research strategies.
  • Engage in group discussions and contribute to scientific literature and conferences through research publications and presentations.
  • Ensure a safe and efficient laboratory environment.

Qualifications:
PhD in Chemistry with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an MS degree with over 10 years of industry experience. Expertise in Organic Chemistry with a focus on synthetic methodologies or total synthesis is required. Strong synthetic skills and a solid grasp of modern organic synthesis techniques are essential. A proven track record in addressing drug discovery challenges through organic synthesis is expected. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively, work independently, and identify appropriate resources for problem resolution. Experience in supervising junior associates and leading scientific teams in a multidisciplinary setting is preferred. Ability to analyze, interpret, and present data clearly, both orally and in writing.
