Job Summary

American Bridge Company seeks an experienced Estimating Manager to lead our estimating team in preparing accurate and timely proposals and estimates for complex bridge, marine, and construction projects.

The successful candidate will possess strong business and financial acumen, with a proven track record of winning profitable large construction projects. They will be responsible for managing all aspects of estimates, including design-build pursuit management and joint venture pursuit management.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in construction project management and estimating, with a strong understanding of engineering calculations, percent complete accounting, and cash flow management.

They will also possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the estimating team in preparing accurate and timely proposals and estimates
  • Manage all aspects of estimates, including design-build pursuit management and joint venture pursuit management
  • Develop and implement estimating strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members to ensure their professional development

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in construction project management and estimating
  • Proven track record of winning profitable large construction projects
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
