Job Summary:

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to manage civil and environmental engineering projects primarily associated with solid waste facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and compiling permit applications, proposals, and technical reports. Your expertise will also be utilized in managing engineering tasks such as airspace and soil balance volume calculations, slope stability and settlement analysis, stormwater management system design, leachate management system design, and landfill gas collection system design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage civil and environmental engineering projects for solid waste facilities
  • Prepare, review, and compile permit applications, proposals, and technical reports
  • Manage engineering tasks such as airspace and soil balance volume calculations, slope stability and settlement analysis, stormwater management system design, leachate management system design, and landfill gas collection system design
  • Manage Construction Quality Assurance projects including landfill cell liner/leachate collection systems, gas collection systems, cap construction, and environmental monitoring of landfill facilities

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering
  • 5-8 years professional engineering experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and through writing
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Ability to take direction and complete assigned projects and tasks
  • Organizational skills
  • Ambition with a desire to learn and apply new skills
  • P.E. certification preferred
  • Experience with HELP Model, HydroCAD, Slide, KYPipe, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D
