Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the medical care and treatment of students
  • Demonstrate on-going commitment to preparing young people for the workforce
  • Model, mentor, and monitor excellence in the eight Career Success Standards
  • Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates
  • Dress wounds
  • Administer specified medication and annotate time and amount on patient's chart
  • Assemble and use various medical equipment
  • Sterilize equipment and supplies
  • Responsible for ensuring high sanitary conditions
  • Assist in physicals of all new trainees
  • Order all drugs and medical supplies as required
  • Maintain charts for trainees seen by medical personnel
  • Attend required staff training sessions
  • Clearly communicate and consistently model appropriate CSS and employability skills
  • Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property
  • Cultivate and maintain a climate on center that is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect
Requirements
  • State Registered Nurse's License
  • One year's experience as a practicing Registered Nurse
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice in the state where the center is located
  • Prefer two or more years of experience
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred
