About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hebrew Public, a leading organization in global education, as a Middle School Resource Room Teacher. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team and contribute to the academic success of our students.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide instructional services to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in reading, mathematics, and writing.
  • Support students with life skills and autistic support.
  • Deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the student's IEP.
  • Consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students.
  • Communicate and conference with parents regarding student progress.
  • Manage and support an organized and professional classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Work closely with peers and administration to develop multifaceted curriculum that integrates multiple subjects and approaches to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Lead classroom differentiation through curricular modifications, instructional techniques, parallel instruction, and integrated classroom strategies.
  • Assess and develop goals for the IEP process.
  • Implement IEP goals and strategies into an integrated classroom.
  • Maintain awareness of school's strategic initiatives and incorporate them into your work.
  • Regularly and accurately report student progress and maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to student achievement, performance, and IEP goals.
  • Review data daily and amend your approach accordingly.
  • Take an active role in your professional development by identifying and creating opportunities to expand your skills to meet the demands of individual student needs.
  • Attend IEP meetings and parent conferences.
  • Develop strong relationships with parents and students to create investment in school culture and academics.
  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, and collaborating effectively with co-teachers and colleagues.
  • Commitment to professional growth through self-reflection, receptiveness to feedback, and a continuous desire to improve.
  • Demonstrate a solutions-oriented mindset and flexible thinking when faced with challenges.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Hold PA Instructional I PK-4 and SPED certification or working towards certifications.
  • Autism experience preferred.
  • Experience working with and directing multiple paraprofessionals.
  • Experience in self-contained classroom settings preferred.
  • Early elementary experience preferred (K-2).
  • Experience or skills relating to life skills or functional task instruction preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Legally authorized to work in the USA.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary and benefits will be highly competitive, equitable, and commensurate with experience. Starting salaries range from $50,000 or above based on experience and qualifications.
