POSITION SUMMARY

This role is integral to the daily functioning of the hotel dispatch office. The Housekeeping Operations Coordinator will facilitate the housekeeping and maintenance activities by managing all incoming requests for housekeeping services, communicating pertinent information to the relevant team members or departments, and ensuring follow-up on service completion to guarantee timely and satisfactory guest experiences, while embodying the GILA WAY.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  1. Delivering exceptional service experiences to both internal and external guests.
  2. Receiving and relaying all communications from PBX, Front Desk, Maintenance, IT, and Housekeeping regarding room statuses and requests.
  3. Coordinating all radio communications from housekeeping to the appropriate teams or departments.
  4. Providing administrative support to the Housekeeping Department.
  5. Inputting, updating, and maintaining accurate records in Opera regarding room statuses.
  6. Managing housekeeping supply orders and tracking inventory levels.
  7. Overseeing laundry invoicing and reconciliation processes.
  8. Assisting with Lost and Found procedures.
  9. Preparing new hire documentation for completion by incoming staff.
  10. Supporting the onboarding process by reviewing policies and procedures with new hires.
  11. Conducting business in a professional manner at all times.
  12. Maintaining a reliable attendance record with minimal absences or tardiness.
  13. Completing additional special projects and tasks as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not currently have any supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  1. Experience in guest service and interaction is required.
  2. Familiarity with phone systems and general office equipment is preferred.
  3. Ability to manage multiple phone calls and type simultaneously is essential.
  4. Ability to embody the GILA WAY, which includes:

  • Appreciating our guests
Strong attention to detail, excellent guest service skills, organizational skills, telephone etiquette, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are necessary.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and gain cooperation from guests, employees, and colleagues.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.This position requires, or the ability to acquire within one year, comprehensive knowledge of Enterprise Policies and Procedures, relevant governmental regulations, and technical rules applicable to the responsibilities of the role.
