Overview:

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of various areas within the hotel, including guest rooms, lobbies, and common spaces. This role involves performing a variety of light cleaning tasks to ensure a welcoming environment for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Transporting linens, towels, toiletries, and cleaning supplies using designated carts.
  2. Cleaning and sanitizing guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and other assigned areas to meet health and safety standards.
  3. Disposing of waste and ensuring proper cleanliness of trash receptacles.
  4. Restocking supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, and bathroom essentials.
  5. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of storage areas and cleaning carts.
  6. Dusting and polishing furniture and equipment as needed.
  7. Cleaning floors through sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing.
  8. Washing windows, walls, and ceilings, ensuring they are well-maintained.
  9. Performing additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in housekeeping, particularly in a hotel or resort setting, is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to follow instructions and work independently while maintaining a high level of efficiency and thoroughness.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Ability to work in a smoking environment.
  • Completion of a comprehensive background check prior to employment.
