Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Millwright - Level 1 to join our team at West Fraser. As a key player in our continuous improvement effort, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, analyzing, and performing maintenance work on machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues with machinery
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance programs for equipment
  • Repair and maintain industrial equipment, including conveying systems and major machine centers
  • Operate welding equipment and oxy-acetylene torches
  • Maintain and operate basic tools, such as grinders and drill presses
  • Move machinery and equipment using hoists and dollies
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of verifiable work experience as a Millwright
  • Welding experience (GMAW and SMAW)
  • Cutting Torch experience (Oxygen/Acetylene)
  • Basic understanding of line ups of pumps, sheaves, sprockets, and machine centers
  • Able to read and understand drawings and printed instructions
