**Job Description:
Key Responsibilities- Provide instructional support to teachers in special education classroom settings, assisting individuals or small groups of students to enhance learning.
- Assist teachers with instruction and classroom management that occurs in special education and general education classrooms and play field environs.
- Support students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, English language learners, and students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Assist with data collection and analysis to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of at least 48 college credit units may substitute for the competency assessment.
- Successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Valid driver's license may be required; compliance with District skill/competency requirements.
- First Aid/CPR certification may be required.
- Medical, dental, vision, and employee life insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day.
- Full district contribution for 6+ hours/day; 50% contribution for 4-6 hours/day.
