Position Overview: As an Automotive Service Consultant, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication and coordination between our customers and partner service shops to ensure efficient repair order completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers and accurately document their concerns to create precise work orders.
- Monitor the progress of open repair orders throughout the day, keeping both customers and dispatch drivers informed about service approvals, repair status, and any delays.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with previous customers to schedule maintenance appointments.
- Notify customers promptly when ordered parts arrive and assist in scheduling appointments for service completion.
- Close repair tickets and inform customers when their vehicles are ready for pickup, coordinating with drivers for delivery.
- Clarify repair order charges to customers and promptly address any service-related issues with the service manager and drivers.
- Efficiently allocate work among technicians and drivers in accordance with company protocols.
- Respond to technical inquiries regarding vehicle issues, warranties, services, and repairs.
● Aim to achieve management's targets for sales per repair order, overall gross profit, daily repair orders, and customer satisfaction metrics.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in customer satisfaction and sales within high-volume automotive brands is advantageous.
- Strong verbal communication and mathematical skills.
- Eligibility to be insured for operating a motor vehicle.
- Experience in automotive repair is a plus.
