Position Overview

As a Licensed Therapist, you will be responsible for managing all facets of a patient's therapeutic journey. This includes ensuring seamless coordination and continuity of care from the point of admission through to discharge and follow-up. Your contributions will enhance service delivery and performance improvement by offering thorough psychological therapy aimed at addressing the underlying issues related to addiction, alongside providing individual, family, and group counseling.

Qualifications:

  • CDCA or higher certification or licensure in Ohio, including:
    • Licensed Social Worker
    • Licensed Professional Counselor
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
  • For counselors with less than one year of full-time experience in addiction treatment, a competency development plan must be established with a supervisor prior to providing independent counseling services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete essential documentation such as patient databases, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Orient patients regarding program objectives, requirements, regulations, and their rights to facilitate their adjustment.
  • Ensure accurate patient assessments and placements according to treatment phases as per established standards.
  • Maintain updated clinical documentation and patient records in accordance with policies.
  • Provide crisis intervention by identifying patient resources and coping strategies.
  • Engage with non-compliant patients to enhance their understanding of the implications of their choices.
  • Facilitate referrals to community resources as necessary.
  • Conduct treatment plan evaluations and participate in case discussions.
  • Enhance knowledge of relevant regulations concerning confidentiality and substance abuse counseling.
  • Submit all correspondence for supervisory review.
  • Conduct patient intakes and lead group therapy sessions.
  • Perform drug screening in compliance with established protocols.
  • Gather necessary patient documentation to ensure adherence to policies.
  • Provide statistical reports to supervisors on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Attend team meetings and complete required training promptly.
  • Other duties as assigned.
