We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst, Tax Compliance to join our team at Clearway Energy, Inc. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate recordkeeping and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Compliance Management: Maintain a thorough understanding of the IRA's key provisions, issued guidance, and emerging market interpretations to ensure compliance with tax credit requirements.
- Recordkeeping and Data Analysis: Ensure accurate and complete recordkeeping, including payroll information, procurement and O&M documentation, and tax credit compliance information.
- Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with contractors, procurement, construction, operation, and maintenance departments to identify, collect, verify, and review necessary information for tax credit compliance.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor completeness of recordkeeping and identify potential non-compliance gaps, particularly regarding Prevailing Wage and Apprentice compliance.
- Training and Development: Train internal and external workforce on IRA's key provisions and ensure compliance with tax credit requirements.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in administrative and/or compliance matters, with a continued track record of advancement and growing responsibility.
- Skills: Strong understanding of financial, tax, and accounting concepts, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with Davis Bacon Act compliance: Experience with construction-related activities and working in a financial institution, independent power producer, energy strategy, or similar enterprise is preferred.
