We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Design Engineer to join our Wireless Hardware R&D team in West Union, SC.

In this role, you will design, modify, and manage activities for specific products or groups of products from product definition and planning through production and release.

You will serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing teams as products move to completion and distribution.

As a Senior RF Design Engineer, your involvement will last throughout all stages of a product's lifecycle, from product release through maintenance and end-of-life decisions.

You will promote investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to product management activities and ensure that products shipped meet specifications and quality goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop new products, support existing products, and improve processes related to RF and communication design.
  • Lead RF circuit design from concept to production for low-cost wireless communications product-line complete radio transceiver design and layout.
  • Conduct RF circuit measurements using laboratory spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, etc.
  • Verify that designs meet requirements through analysis, simulation, and measurement.
  • Carry out field studies and system test activities.
  • Provide design and project support in areas of project leadership, regulation, reliability, and component selection.
  • Provide technical support to factory, service, and other internal departments.
  • Coordinate and verify the work of support staff (technicians and CAD designers).
  • Lead projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of related industrial experience.
  • In-depth understanding of electronic circuits, RF circuits, and microwave theory.
  • Good understanding of RF systems and wireless communication systems.
  • Experienced with FCC certification.
  • Experienced with advanced modeling and simulation.
  • Experienced with communication theory and digital signal processing (a plus).

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
