Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Hamilton-Ryker is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new and existing products.
  • Prepare component and system drawings, including layouts, assemblies, and installation drawings.
  • Work in a structured release environment, composing new releases and engineering change notices (ECN).
  • Perform and review engineering calculations to support project design, checking drawings for completeness and providing feedback.
  • Collaborate with machine system development groups in engineering and work with vendors and/or contractors.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and provide technical specifications and reports.
  • Communicate with the Chief Engineer on updates, new ideas, changes, or issues.
Requirements:
  • Accredited engineering degree with emphasis in mechanical or structural engineering.
  • Minimum 6+ years of work experience in mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive projects to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of basic machine design and operation, industry knowledge in machinery operation and welding.
  • Working knowledge of computer Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Strong CAD skills, including 3-D and 2-D drawing software (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks a plus).
Work Environment:

This is a primarily office-based classification, with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. May work offsite in various environments, with up to 10% domestic and international travel expected.
