We are seeking a skilled Aviation Mission Pilot and Mechanic to join our dedicated team at Ethnos360. This role is essential in supporting our mission work in remote areas, ensuring that our aviation operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Pilot Certificate
- Instrument Rating
- Minimum of 300 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time
- Flight Instructor Rating is recommended
- Mechanic Certificate (A&P, AME, or ICAO equivalent)
- At least one year of experience in general aviation maintenance
Preferred Skills:
Candidates who possess both piloting and mechanical skills will find the greatest opportunities for service within our organization.
Training:
The selected candidate will undergo advanced training at Ethnos360 Aviation, focusing on Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) techniques in mountainous environments, utilizing fixed-wing aircraft. Additionally, specialized training in Kodiak aircraft operations and maintenance will be provided.
Mission Purpose:
The primary goal of this position is to facilitate the church planting efforts of Ethnos360 missionaries and local churches in some of the most isolated regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain Kodiak aircraft to support church planting teams
- Address transportation needs, including:
1. Medical evacuations
2. Delivery of supplies, equipment, and food
3. Providing encouragement and support to church planters in their missions
Team Requirements:
We are looking to fill 6 positions for this vital role.
Priority Level:
This is an urgent need within our organization.
Candidate Evaluation:
All applicants must complete a candidate evaluation process with Ethnos360 Aviation, followed by missionary training with Ethnos360 or one of its global partners.
