Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Helicopter Regional Relief Pilot to join our team at Air Methods. As a Regional Relief Pilot, you will be responsible for providing air medical transport services to patients in the South Central region, primarily in New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Air Methods' aircraft in a safe and legal manner, ensuring the safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment.
- Complete pre-flight checks and verify the aircraft's airworthiness before each flight.
- Responsible for compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), and Air Methods' policies and procedures.
- Participate in regular meetings, activities, and community outreach programs.
- Responsible for ensuring aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy to transport medical crew and patient to receiving hospital within an assigned operational area.
Requirements:
- Commercial & Instrument Rating (for category and class of aircraft)
- ATP rating in category meets this requirement
- First OR Second Class FAA Medical certificate required
- Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Work Environment:
This is a 50% travel position, with per diem and travel pay provided. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
