Position Overview:

Job Title: Release Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee code management, release process management, and the implementation of continuous integration and continuous deployment.
  • Facilitate ongoing process enhancements and support software development and QA teams.
  • Embrace best practices and collaborate with Engineering leadership to advocate for release management best practices while fostering a creative and cooperative work environment.
  • Develop the release engineering team and fulfill staffing requirements as planned.
  • Communicate release details and timelines to stakeholders as necessary.
  • Coordinate release content and efforts based on service request backlogs, pending service requests, third-party applications, or operating system updates.
  • Collaborate with Development and QA teams to enhance the CI/CD pipeline and its integration with code repositories, unit tests, integration and functional tests, static code analysis, SAST and DAST, build automation, and automated deployment of applications across various environments.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • 5+ years of prior experience in release and/or project management
  • Strong understanding of project management principles is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in team and people management with groups of at least 5 engineers
  • Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Proficiency with Git, Azure, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools
  • Experience in producing deployment documentation, run books, and implementation plans
  • Exceptional written, verbal communication, and presentation skills are essential

Remote Work: This position is remote.

Compensation: The salary for this role is set at $110,000 annually. Various factors may influence pay within this range, including geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
