CNA Training Track Support Aide

Elderwood's CNA Training course is a comprehensive program designed to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The program is paid, and participants will receive a salary while training.
Program Details- Duration: Three weeks, Monday to Friday from 7:30a-3:30p (times may vary slightly)
- Classroom training: First two weeks
- Clinical portion: Third week
Upon completion of the program, participants will be eligible to take the CNA certification test, and Elderwood will pay for the test and any applicable onboarding requirements.
Responsibilities- Transport residents or accompany ambulatory residents to various locations in the building
- Make unoccupied resident beds
- Assist with food service in the dining room
- Distribute supplemental nourishments to residents
- Conduct informal activities on the nursing unit
- Supply fresh water to residents' rooms
- Prepare bed and bedwear for residents
- Keep general areas of the assigned nursing unit neat and orderly
- Clean resident equipment
- Notify therapist of any unusual incidents regarding residents
- Sixteen (16) years of age required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Employment Certificate/Permit required for 16-17 years of age
- No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment, and misappropriation of property
