Job Overview:
As an Automotive Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our facility's equipment. Your role will involve addressing maintenance service requests and executing preventative maintenance tasks to uphold our standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete all assigned maintenance service requests promptly.
- Interpret technical documentation, service manuals, and electrical schematics as required.
- Assist in managing inventory supplies and equipment parts, reporting any necessary repairs or low stock levels.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and work orders as directed through our maintenance management system.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, clear, and legible.
- Participate in special projects as assigned by management.
- Monitor the work of external contractors as needed.
- Be available for on-call maintenance as required.
- Oversee and maintain all assigned building systems.
- Report any unusual occurrences or damages to management.
- Maintain professionalism and courtesy with vendors, contractors, and colleagues.
- Adhere to safety practices including lockout/tagout and personal protective equipment protocols.
- Uphold compliance with company policies in a fair and ethical manner.
Compensation:
Hourly rate between $22 and $25.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred. Previous maintenance training or at least one year of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role is desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to troubleshoot machinery, inspect equipment, and identify issues that may lead to equipment failure.
Essential Skills:
Proficient in diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical failures, understanding hydraulic systems, and performing fabrication tasks such as metal cutting and assembly. Capable of welding and rebuilding components like pumps and valves.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with others are essential. Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends, is required.
Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to remain on your feet for extended periods, operate machinery, and lift up to 75 pounds regularly. Candidates must be comfortable with heights and able to climb ladders and stairs.
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, varying temperature levels, and moderate noise levels is expected.
