Join Our Mission to Save Lives

The National Safety Council is a leading advocate for safety in the United States. We strive to eliminate preventable deaths and injuries through education, advocacy, and research. As a part-time instructor, you will play a critical role in teaching adult and teen-focused classroom courses on safe driving practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach life-saving Driver Safety Course curriculum to a variety of motorists, including those required to attend a mandatory driver retraining program.
  • Lead effective classroom discussions and handle a diverse group of students.
  • Deal with unexpected difficulties such as equipment failures, facility issues, and disruptions to class.
  • Use your public speaking skills to engage students and promote safe driving practices.
Requirements:
  • Experience in public speaking and teaching.
  • A background in sociology, psychology, counseling, or education.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
  • Weekend availability preferred.
  • Bilingual in English, Spanish, or Portuguese a plus.
